Meeting Theme: Cozy
Our recent Omotesando Toastmasters meeting brought together warm storytelling, thoughtful reflection, and supportive feedback — perfectly matching the evening’s theme, “Cozy.”
🎤 Prepared Speech Session
First Speaker – “About My Dog”
We enjoyed a vivid and memorable speech about the speaker’s energetic dog, whose curiosity sometimes turns into danger.
Two years ago, this lovable “street cleaner” — famous for eating almost anything found on the ground — swallowed a doughnut-shaped toy during an exciting visit to a pet store. What began as playful chaos quickly turned into panic when the toy disappeared… into the dog’s stomach.
Fearing serious complications such as intestinal twisting, the owner rushed to the veterinarian. After tense moments and medical examination, the vet successfully removed the object via endoscopy — bringing enormous relief.
The biggest surprise? The discovery of additional “souvenirs” already inside the dog’s stomach, including a child’s mitten!
The speech combined humor, suspense, and genuine emotion, reminding us how deeply connected we are to our pets.
Second Speaker – Contest Practice Speech
Our second speaker delivered a contest rehearsal speech followed by a group evaluation session, allowing members to collaboratively provide constructive feedback.
The session demonstrated the strength of the Toastmasters learning environment — supportive, analytical, and growth-focused.
We wish our speaker the very best in the upcoming contest! 🍀
💬 Table Topics Session

What was your most memorable commencement or graduation ceremony?
What departure in your life left the strongest impression?
What personal turning point shaped who you are today?

The discussions brought personal stories, cultural insights, and heartfelt reflections to the meeting.
